BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION
Behavior challenges are rarely just about obedience. They can develop from fear, anxiety, frustration, insecurity, over-arousal, unclear communication, past experiences, or patterns that have been reinforced over time. Our Behavior Modification programs are designed to look beyond the behavior you see on the surface and address the underlying factors contributing to it.
When behavior becomes intense, unpredictable, emotionally driven, or difficult to manage safely, training has to go deeper than teaching commands.
Our Behavior Modification programs are designed for dogs whose challenges interfere with everyday life, whether that means avoiding certain situations, constantly managing triggers, worrying about reactions, or feeling like your dog’s world is becoming smaller and smaller.
Every behavior case is approached individually. We evaluate the dog as a whole, including temperament, history, thresholds, recovery, relationship dynamics, learned behaviors, and the situations in which problems are most likely to occur. Training is then built around helping the dog develop better responses while giving the owner clearer, more effective ways to guide and support them.
Behavior modification is not about creating a “perfect” dog. It is about making meaningful, measurable improvements that give both the dog and owner more safety, freedom, predictability, and quality of life.

Developing a dog’s ability to recover from stress, tolerate frustration, disengage from triggers, think through excitement, and respond more appropriately instead of immediately reacting.

Building confidence and healthier coping strategies for dogs struggling with fearfulness, avoidance, environmental sensitivity, separation-related concerns, nervousness, or difficulty adjusting to new situations.

For dogs who bark, lunge, fixate, explode, chase, or lose control around dogs, people, vehicles, movement, noises, or other environmental triggers.

Addressing threatening behavior, snapping, biting, guarding, conflict with people or other animals, and helping owners better understand and manage the factors contributing to those behaviors.
Program Options
Behavior modification is not one size fits all. The amount of time a dog needs depends on the severity of the behavior, how long it has been present, the number of triggers involved, the dog’s ability to recover from stress, and the level of management or safety support required.
Our programs range from 6 to 12 weeks, allowing us to match the training process to the individual dog rather than rushing complex behavior into a predetermined timeline.
Program placement is determined through evaluation.
Level 1
6 Weeks - $4200
Designed for dogs showing mild-to-moderate behavioral concerns that need more support than a standard obedience program provides.
This level combines foundational obedience with increased emphasis on confidence, emotional regulation, communication, appropriate responses to triggers, and preventing developing behaviors from becoming more deeply established.
Level 2
8 Weeks - $5400
For dogs with more established behavioral patterns that require additional time to work through triggers, build alternative responses, and practice those changes across a wider variety of situations.
This program allows for greater repetition, controlled exposure, behavioral troubleshooting, and progression into more challenging real-world environments while continuing to strengthen obedience and communication.
Level 3
10 Weeks - $6500
Designed for significant, longstanding, or more complex behavioral concerns where progress requires greater repetition, slower progression, and more extensive work across different triggers and environments.
This level provides additional time to address both the behavior itself and the patterns surrounding it, while developing safer responses, stronger coping skills, clearer communication, and realistic long-term management strategies.
Level 4
12 Weeks - $7500
Our most comprehensive behavior program is reserved for severe, deeply established, multi-layered, or higher-risk cases requiring extensive training, careful management, safety planning, and gradual progression.
These dogs often need considerably more time before they are ready to move from controlled training environments into increasingly realistic situations. The focus is on creating the safest and most functional outcome possible while giving owners a realistic understanding of their dog’s needs and long-term management.
Choosing the Right Program
Behavior modification levels are not selected based on which program an owner prefers or how quickly they would like training completed. Placement is based on the dog’s evaluation, behavioral history, severity of the concerns, safety risk, number of contributing factors, and the amount of time we believe is realistically needed to create meaningful progress.
Our goal is not to fit every dog into the same training formula. It is to provide enough time, structure, and individualized support to give each dog the best opportunity to become safer, more stable, and more manageable in everyday life.
